Throwback

As we open the bible, [1]In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”, is the first text we see from the first chapter. Through this passage, we realize that the world was completely amorphous, dark and unfilled. God started to speak and created everything.
Up to now, the shape of the world is still an issue to some. But whatever shape it is, God formed the earth and everything inside the earth according to his image and likeness.

[2] The world is made up of approximately 242 countries divided into seven continents. Each country practices various cultures, holds different values and speaks dissimilar languages and dialects.  All shares interesting story, from the past and into their present state.

Philippines have one of the most interesting anecdotes among the different countries. How the countrymen fought for its liberty makes the nation’s story remarkable. Before east met west, natives of the land already has their systematic way of living. Philippines were for the Filipinos only, but then the invaders came.

For several years, Filipinos were deprived of their freedom inside their territory. The people were treated like strangers in their own home. They lived in a place where they cannot call their own. Those were the days where the bravest people stood to fight for the rights of every Filipinos.

[3] As an effect of the colonization, it is noticeable that most of the Filipinos in the present belong to a mixture of races. There has been a barrier between the “mestizo” and the “native” during the Spanish era; a result of the not-so-licit relation between the conqueror and the conquered.

Despite of poverty, at present, Philippines is now a free country.

Gothic Revival - The Church of San Sebastian is made of a steel frame and panels and is  known for its distinct characteristic - that of being the only neo-gothic steel church in the Philippines and in Asia.

Liwasang Bonifacio - This is the statue of Andres Bonifacio, "Father of the Philippine Revouliton"

GO WITH THE FLOW - Filipinos were slaves before by the colonizers and became their puppets for a very long period of time.

SAY A LITTLE PRAYER - In times of test, to pray is the best thing that we can do.

CATHEDRAL WITHIN THE WALLS- Manila Cathedral was damaged and destroyed several times since the original cathedral was built in 1581.

HOME ALONG THE RIVER -  The shelter for the poor.

PALACE OF THE GOVERNOR - The former house of Manuel Estacio de Venegas, a governor's aide and now the office of the Intramuros Administration.

HOPEFUL FILIPINOS - There's always hope for the Philippines.

DIRTY ICE CREAM- Also known as sorbetes. This is a famous street food in the Philippines.

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE - Street children love to swim in fountains along the metro.

Oooh-thoughts ♥ (read as utots)

Today is a "steady Thursday" for me and I am in the mood to post something here in my blog site. I want to share what happened to me yesterday coz.. coz.. because that is the only thing that is still fresh in my mind. (WHAT?! HAHAHAHAHA! Inah, are you in drugs?!!) But really, I think my yesterday's ganap is really interesting (weh?!) for me.. Hihi.

So there, yesterday, I woke up late. Waking up 10 in the morning is already late for my mother. She's a morning person obviously.

That morning, I received a text from Dani.

(SUPER ANNOYING TEXT)

Wala naman siyang sinabeng oras or lugar saan kami magkikita and all. So parang ako nanaman talaga ang late person nito. RAWR! (for our Photojournalism activity)

:)))))) HAHAHAHAH *devil laugh*

We took photos the whole morning and fortunately, nakapasok naman kami sa klase on time. Actually, maaga-aga pa nga. ;) Sadly, may nangyaring aberya sa klase namin that is why our prof (my forever love) decided not to accept our works. Yes, huhu ang feeling. Pero it's our fault.

--lecture--activity--moment of truth--

These are the pictures from our photo walk:

Location: Manila City Hall area

ONE PHOTO FROM JILL AND THE REST ARE MINE :)

 (JILLIAN JAVIER'S)

(fyi, we went to Binondo also but the pictures are not with me)

After the photo walk, we went back to our school as instructed by our prof.

It was a long tiring day for me and also to my friends. We were dismissed around 10:00pm, and good thing, Pam and Renz waited for Dani. Swerte naman at nag-aya kumain sina Pam and Renz. :))

I forgot to mention na nagpustahan kami ni Dani nung umaga. Ayaw niya talagang pumusta. *that's the spirit*)

There's a story behind those pictures. Napaka walang malasakit saken niyan. (HAHAHAHAHAH may papalag?) So nag walk out ako ng gabing yan. TRUE, nag walk out talaga ako. :))

While looking at the picture, masasabi kong nakakapanibago. I miss my Gubabang friends. Joanne, Vince, Jake, Iza and Ash, I hope you miss me too (insert Jill). Tayo lagi ang magkakasamang nagdidinner and all. I know super salungat schedules natin, pero sana may masingitan tayong day for us to bond and catch up. Everyday I miss you. :*

The End! <3

What Have You Been Up To?

Last Wednesday, we were given a task, to capture things we see around us. These are the scenes I catched from the streets of QC and Manila.

KINGDOMLESS KING - This man is a homeless man, no family and mentally-ill. He can be seen in the  busy road of A. Bonifacio where huge trucks pass. (ABonifacio, Quezon City)

CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE -  The stoplight signaled stop, and this man is a perfect example of a street violator. (ABonifacio, Quezon City)

DAY OFF - Two housemaids checking their photos from the resident photographer. (Luneta Park, Manila)

TOGETHER - Busy man who manage the posters that we see in Luneta Park.

EN ROUTE TO BACLARAN - Wednesday, June 20 2013, is Baclaran day and this is the route for the church devotees.

STREET SALES- Buying water will be very easy  for those people who are inside their cars or inside the public vehicles.

SHUT UP AND DRIVE - A perfect example of a violator,: smoking while driving.

FLOOD PREVENTION - Salute to these two metro aids who keep the streets clean.

THE DUETS - A shameful performance of these two old man peeing in a public place.

AN OLD MAN'S HEAVY LOAD - An empty kariton being pushed by the old man who does not have anything to bring home for his family.

WHEN IT'S COLD OUTSIDE- The man chose not to stay inside his humble home.

SIESTA - A tired vendor from Balintawak market.

THE END.
